Associate Legal Counsel: Investment Focus This is a full-time position for an Associate Legal Counsel located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role's main objective is to provide necessary legal support services to the investment and support teams to safeguard the organization's interests from a legal standpoint. Key responsibilities include: Advisory Function: Delivering precise and timely legal counsel to senior management on a variety of legal issues. This specifically involves advice related to co-mingled fund investments, co-investments, and single investor funds. Legal Oversight: Managing the legal dimensions of all assigned projects, which requires coordinating with both internal business units and external legal counsel to ensure the delivery of services is cost-effective, timely, and commercially sound. Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring that the organization’s operations are consistently in conformity with the applicable legislation in relevant countries. This includes advising Management on all pertinent legal or regulatory developments. Document Management: Reviewing and maintaining quality control of all legal documents, and advising relevant signatories or senior management on any material content. External Relations: Communicating and negotiating with outside parties, such as asset managers and public authorities, to establish relationships of trust. Risk Mitigation: Demonstrating a proactive approach to identify, manage, and prevent legal risk to the organization. Education and Experience Requires a law degree from a reputable university and admission to practice in either the UAE or an internationally recognized jurisdiction. A minimum of five years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) is mandatory, gained either in-house or in commercial law practice. Fluency in both English and Arabic is a must. Specialized Expertise: Experience must include providing investment-related legal support to entities that allocate capital into private fund structures. This includes knowledge of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Credit Funds, and Co-investments. Knowledge Base: The role requires sound knowledge of investment funds, general corporate commercial matters, and familiarity with fields such as M&A, regulatory compliance, and tax. #J-18808-Ljbffr
