Commis I - Main Kitchen Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates Job Description We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic kitchen professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary levels of customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests. ResponsibilitiesSupport Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily operations and work. Work according to menu specifications provided by the Chef de Partie. Maintain work area in hygienic condition according to hotel rules. Control food stock and food cost in your section. Prepare daily mise‑en‑place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites. Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks. Ensure highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation and stay up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques. Coordinate and participate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.Skills & Qualifications Education, Qualifications & Experience You should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course and previous experience in quality establishments along with good culinary skills. Ability to communicate in English and a proven track record of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is essential. Knowledge & Competencies The ideal candidate will be positively spirited and passionate about food and be committed to working together with the service team to deliver amazing guest experiences every time.
