Senior Quantity Surveyor Havelock One Interiors is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in UAE. Background Since 1998 Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East. We specialise in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery metalworks and sophisticated shop fittings. Role Summary Assist the projects team by providing support in commercial activities by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for the Fit out operations. Duties and Responsibilities Perform the commercial activities (contractual documentation and writing). Preparation and tracking of variation submittals. Preparation of progress billing and follow up on collections. Check Bill of Quantities (BOQs) against the drawings to raise claims and assist the Project Manager (PM) with cost monitoring and controlling. Prepare work orders and recommendations for subcontract and material orders ensuring that costs are within project budget. Capability to carry out QS function BOQ preparation, management and measurement activities. Evaluate all contractual correspondence between clients and Project Manager to recommend suitable response. Ensure that any delays in project work are properly accounted for and documented to avoid possible liability to the company. Negotiate extensions of timelines and deadlines with main contractor. Verify that the final contract is congruent with the original letter of intent. Advise project manager on how to respond to contractual claims, delays, etc. Submit evaluation of monthly progress invoice for the project site. Follow up any delays in the work of other contractors on the project site. Timely submission and agreement of project final account to client. Timely close out of subcontractor final accounts and reversal of duplicate orders on Epicor. Prepare and project cost report each month and present to senior management for review. Coordinate and liaise with the Estimation and Purchasing Departments as well as other contractors on the project site in all matters related to the project finances, expenditures, delays and required materials. Ensure compliance with Havelock code of conduct at all times. Qualifications Minimum 10 years experience in Quantity Surveying at a senior level. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying. Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts. Capable of handling projects value AED 50-100M. Proficient in finalising contractual terms with contractors and in MS Office applications. Knowledge and familiarity with the interiors industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment. Efficient use of time, high responsibility level and dependability.
