ResponsibilitiesConduct quality inspections of piping fabrication and installation activities in accordance with approved drawings specifications ITPs QCPs and project requirementsInspect piping materials fittings flanges valves and other components for compliance with approved specifications and documentationVerify pipe fit-up joint preparation alignment orientation dimensions and fabrication tolerancesInspect piping welding activities and verify compliance with approved WPS PQRs and qualified welder requirementsReview piping isometric drawings general arrangement drawings specifications and other relevant technical documentsCoordinate and witness inspections and testing with QA QC Engineering Production clients and third-party inspectorsEnsure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs and QCPsReview and verify NDT reports and ensure required inspections are completedInspect and witness hydrostatic pressure testing flushing and related piping testing activitiesVerify material identification and traceability throughout the fabrication and installation processRaise and follow up on NCRs and support the resolution of quality-related issuesMaintain accurate inspection records reports checklists and quality documentationSupport preparation and compilation of final quality dossiers and handover documentationCoordinate with relevant departments to resolve technical and quality issues affecting fabrication progressEnsure compliance with applicable project specifications codes standards and client requirementsPromote compliance with Company QHSE policies and proceduresPerform other quality-related duties as assigned by the QA QC ManagerQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as a QC Inspector – Piping within Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, offshore, marine, or heavy engineering environments.
Strong experience in piping fabrication and installation inspectionHands-on knowledge of piping fit-up, welding inspection, dimensional inspection, material traceability, NDT, and pressure testing.
Good understanding of ITPs, QCPs, WPS/PQRs, NCRs, inspection test packs, and quality dossiers.
Knowledge of applicable piping, welding, fabrication, and inspection codes and standards.
CSWIP 3.1, AWS, ASNT, or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, and other applicable Oil & Gas standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD or document management systems is an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
