Head of Music in Dubai, UAE within the Education Management sector is an excellent teaching leadership opportunity for an experienced Music educator to join GEMS Founders School, Dubai. This role is ideal for a creative and highly skilled teacher who can lead Music teaching, mentor colleagues, raise classroom standards, and develop a strong performing arts culture within a world-class international school.

Mentor and support Music teachers by sharing effective classroom practice, planning strategies, and assessment approaches.
Deliver creative and well-structured Music lessons that develop performance, composition, listening, theory, and musical confidence.
Promote a vibrant Music programme through concerts, assemblies, performances, competitions, and school community events.
Monitor student progress and use assessment evidence to improve learning outcomes across Music classes.
Support curriculum planning, resource development, and consistent teaching standards within the Music department.
Encourage students to develop creativity, discipline, collaboration, confidence, and appreciation for different musical styles.
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and help strengthen the school's wider creative arts provision.
Role model the school vision of Grow, Flourish, and Succeed through professional conduct and daily leadership.
Maintain safeguarding standards and follow GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times.
Ideal ProfileBEd or Bachelor's degree in Music with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching experience teaching Music in a school environment.
Ability to lead, mentor, and support a team of Music teachers.
Strong subject knowledge across Music performance, theory, composition, and classroom instruction.
Proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
Creative and enthusiastic approach to Music education inside and outside the classroom.
Reflective and solution-focused mindset with willingness to collaborate and share best practice.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
