Power Plant Process Control and Automation Section Head Direct message the job poster from ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS PROJECTS As part of our current and strategic expansion in Europe and Middle East and the launch of our new Engineering Hub in Dubai, we are seeking a highly experienced Process Control and Automation Section Head to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:Prepare input/output lists, process logic diagrams (PFUP), automation system architecture, block diagrams, BOQs, and as-built drawings. Create instrument lists, data sheets, location drawings, wiring and termination drawings, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, technical inputs for RFQs and POs, purchase requests, and technical review reports. Assist in procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. Ensure engineering and design solutions meet contract specifications, codes, standards, and local practices. Develop a "value engineering" environment and identify work process improvements. Oversee engineering activities by third parties (suppliers, sub-contractors, engineering firms) from contract award to factory acceptance tests. Maintain direct communication with project site teams, providing timely responses to technical queries and incorporating site feedback. Ensure all local codes and compliance criteria are met. Establish deliverables based on tender/contract analysis and project strategy. Define and optimize workflows for engineering disciplines based on processes, tools, and design rules. Review and approve conceptual engineering deliverables and provide technical support. Implement measures to ensure good design and quality in engineering work. Organize the engineering section to provide timely and accurate support to other groups and projects.
