Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall productivity and health of the dairy herd. ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily care and management of all calves and heifers. Monitor feeding, housing, and health conditions to ensure optimal growth and welfare. Oversee colostrum management, calf nutrition, and weaning programs. Identify and treat common calf health issues in coordination with the farm veterinarian. Maintain accurate records of births, vaccinations, growth rates, and treatments. Manage and train farm staff assigned to youngstock operations. Ensure biosecurity and hygiene standards are consistently followed. Report performance data and health trends to the farm manager.QualificationsMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in dairy or livestock operations, preferably focused on calves or youngstock. Strong understanding of calf rearing, nutrition, and health management. Good leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with herd management software is an advantage.
