HVAC Draftsman – Job Description<\/b>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>

Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as -built drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
<\/li>
Develop ductwork, chilled water, drainage, and ventilation layouts based on engineering designs.
<\/li>
Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
<\/li>
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local codes, and applicable standards.
<\/li>
Revise drawings based on engineer and client comments.
<\/li>
Prepare material take -offs and support procurement and project planning.
<\/li>
Maintain organized drawing records and document revisions.
<\/li>
Assist site engineers by providing technical drafting support throughout project execution.
<\/li><\/ul>
Required Skills:<\/b>
<\/p>
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP.
  <\/li>
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, duct sizing, piping layouts, and mechanical services.
  <\/li>
- Knowledge of construction drawings, coordination, and shop drawing preparation.
  <\/li>
- Familiarity with local building codes and HVAC standards.
  <\/li>
- Strong attention to detail, problem -solving, and organizational skills.
  <\/li>
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  <\/li><\/ul>
  Qualifications:<\/b>
  <\/p>
  - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
    <\/li>
  - 2–5 years of experience as an HVAC Draftsman (experience requirements may vary by employer).
    <\/li>
  - Experience with BIM and clash detection software (e.g., Navisworks) is an advantage.

    Work Environment:<\/b>
    <\/div> HVAC Draftsmen typically work in engineering consultancies, MEP contracting companies, construction firms, or design offices, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and coordinated mechanical drawings.
