Company Description23 Ventures is a venture-building platform designed to help founders grow from idea stage to scalable, revenue-generating companies. Through a structured 20-week program, participants gain access to mentors, advisors, and investors focused on real execution rather than theory. The program combines gamified milestone tracking, bi-weekly workshops, and a collaborative founder community to ensure accountability and continuous learning. 23 Ventures supports teams through product development, go-to-market refinement, and investor readiness, aiming to help companies reach meaningful MRR milestones and scale toward category-defining outcomes.
Role DescriptionAs a Venture Scout at 23 Ventures, you will identify promising early-stage founders, startups, and ideas that align with the firm’s investment and venture-building focus. You will research markets, analyze startup traction and potential, and source deal flow through networks, events, and online communities. The role involves conducting initial founder and startup assessments, preparing concise summaries for internal review, and collaborating with the team to refine selection criteria and scouting strategies. You will maintain relationships with founders, provide clear communication about program opportunities, and help nurture a strong pipeline of candidates. This is a remote, contract role with flexible hours, focused on measurable sourcing outcomes and clear reporting on your scouting activities.
QualificationsStrong sourcing and networking skills, including the ability to identify high-potential founders and startups through online platforms, communities, and professional networks.
Solid analytical and research capabilities, with experience evaluating market opportunities, startup traction, and founder-market fit.
Clear written and verbal communication skills to conduct preliminary founder conversations and present concise evaluations to the internal team.
Familiarity with startup ecosystems, early-stage funding, and venture-building models; prior experience in VC, accelerator programs, or entrepreneurial roles is beneficial.
Self-directed work style with strong organization, reliability in meeting deadlines, and comfort operating in a remote, outcome-driven environment.
Ability to use digital tools for CRM tracking, reporting, and collaboration (e.g., spreadsheets, pipeline tools, communication platforms).
Demonstrated interest in helping founders succeed and in building companies from idea to scale; a track record of side projects or startup involvement is a plus.
