Principal IT Pillar Specialist – Licensing McDermott International, Ltd Job Overview The Principal IT Pillar Specialist is responsible to support, manage, and administer contracts for Design and Engineering software (e.g., Hexagon, Aveva, Bentley, Autodesk, AspenTech, and other engineering application services and products globally). They analyze software licensing agreements, create entitlement summaries, and summarize use‑right information from software agreements. ResponsibilitiesMaintain engineering license reporting applications and dashboards. Drive engineering license optimization – reduce utilization and cost. Manage engineering software deployment and obsolescence management. Maintain software installation records. Perform license reconciliation. Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries on software licensing. Interact with software suppliers for annual renewals, additional procurement, and negotiations. Prepare software installation/setup documentation. Provide periodic training sessions to raise user awareness for optimal license utilization. Handle monthly license requirements, provisioning, monitoring, and drive optimal usage of engineering software licenses globally. Maintain and manage license servers. Resolve user license issues and use good understanding of design software such as Hexagon, Aveva, Bentley, Autodesk and other engineering tools. Develop reports using MS Excel. Power BI skills are an added advantage.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT supporting EPCI business applications as a lead or administrator. Experience with software such as Hexagon, Aveva, Bentley, Autodesk, AspenTech. Maintain key competencies associated with the IT function.
