Mandarin Oriental is the award‑winning owner and operator of some of the most luxurious hotels, resorts and residences located in prime destinations around the world. Emirates Palace defines an unrivalled Arabian fantasy with a 1.3 km pristine private beach, landscaped pools, a private marina, and award‑winning 5‑star luxury hospitality. Responsibilities Communicate with supervisor on all pertinent matters affecting the recreation reception administration and operation. Ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times; report any poor conditions or breakages. Attend daily briefing with Spa & Leisure Manager, Spa & Leisure Operations Manager, and other recreation colleagues. Interact with guests, members and colleagues to promote and administer the appropriate structured use of the recreation area. Oversee all reservations, payment and tracking procedures for the pool, beach and other recreation facilities. Assist in ordering items through the SCM purchasing system. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility for guest and member safety. Create a warm welcome and promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests. Execute all reception duties related to the booking system, collection of money, and guest inquiries both in person, by phone and in writing. Prepare daily timetables, activity programmes and information sheets for recreation guests and staff. Upsell and take bookings for pool & beach day passes, sports & activities, memberships, kids club activities, water sports, beach cabanas, retail items; manage the beach club boutique to increase revenue. Perform recreation department administration work, including staff payroll, inventories, membership records and staff information. Support other recreation staff as required. Check cleanliness and order of lockers and changing rooms; record locker logs. Manage customer feedback and ensure issues or compliments are escalated for improvement. Attend training programs, department communication meetings, and kids’ club or kids’ camp operations as requested. Adhere to cash handling procedures, reconcile cash reports and remittance envelopes at the end of the shift. Report accidents, maintenance issues (HOTSOS), or other incidents. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Interact and communicate effectively with clients, members, team members, guests, and management. Qualifications Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management preferred. Previous experience in a luxury hotel group or resort preferred. Experience in a similar guest‑focused role, especially in a recreation environment. Good guest contact skills. Computer and administrative skills. Outgoing personality. Strong interpersonal skills.
