Purpose<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/h2>Provides first line support to customers, resolving issues or escalating (to 2nd line support) within the agreed service level agreement.<\/span>

Work Overview<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/h2>First response for desktop and cabling issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Works with servers and telephone systems.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ensure all issues are accurately logged<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Troubleshoots independently aiming for first time resolution every time, knowing when to escalate when required to ensure consistent work velocity.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Provides detailed information on steps taken on all escalations.<\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>Requirements<\/span><\/span>
<\/h2>Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role.<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/span>
<\/li>Excellent problem -solving and communication skills.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Hands on experience with Windows 7 thru 10, Windows Server and Mac operating systems<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Knowledge of network security practices<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ability to provide step -by -step technical help, both written and verbal<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Must be confident and socially adept<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Must be a fast and pro -active self -leaner<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Must have a positive and helpful attitude towards other colleagues and work in general<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Must be able to handle pressure from time to time and always meet deadlines<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Must have excellent time management, prioritization, scheduling and organization skills.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering or Computer Science.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Fortinet, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus<\/span>
