Senior Engineering Project Manager

Project Leadership RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer with experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects. The role will involve leading the project to ensure successful delivery, coordinating with discipline engineers and supporting departments, and reporting to the project manager on day-to-day activities.The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline and at least 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industries with experience in EPC projects. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.The role will involve developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and meet client expectations. It will also involve ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures, and effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Manage engineering projects with multidisciplinary interface, 3rd party interfaces, and client liaisonLead the project to ensure successful project delivery, coordinating with discipline engineers, supporting departments, and external stakeholdersReport to the Project Manager / Project Lead on day-to-day activitiesEnsure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and proceduresDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and meet client expectationsCoordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other third parties to ensure successful project deliveryHold weekly progress meetings with discipline engineers, ensuring that ownership is assigned, and actions are driven to closure in a timely mannerManage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure minimal impact on project schedule and budgetEstablishing WBS Structure and alignment of proposals & CTR development with an emphasis on scope developmentProject delivery to agreed schedule datesPreparation of Weekly Project DashboardsDaily Relationship Management and interface with client and other stakeholdersQualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industries with experience in EPC projectsProven experience in managing engineering projects with multidisciplinary interface, 3rd party interfaces, and client liaisonExcellent leadership, communication, and project management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projectsExperience working in multicultural and dynamic environmentsExperience with project cost control and planning systemsFamiliarity with working on projects in Iraq (Basra region in particular) and/or GCC is preferablePrevious experience in upstream oil and gas (Brownfield and Greenfield)Good Oral and Communication skillsMust be able to supervise and delegateMust have good interpersonal skills / team playerBenefitsWood offers a competitive salary package, regular salary reviews, commitment to continued professional development, global connections, medical insurance, group life and personal accident insurance, employee share plan, and long service award.Wood values diversity and inclusion, with a commitment to providing equal opportunities for all employees.About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.Job RequirementsApplications should demonstrate a strong understanding of the job requirements and qualifications, as well as a clear passion for the role and industry.How to ApplyApplications can be submitted via email or online application form.
