Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience 4-5 years of experience building production-grade AI/ML or software systems Strong programming experience with Python, Node.js and Bun Experience with at least one additional backend language or runtime (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Java) Hands‑on experience with LLMs, NLP, or modern transformer architectures Experience building or integrating chat interfaces or conversational AI systems Dubai-based candidates preferred Preferred qualifications 5+ years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and scalable system design Experience architecting AI/ML flows, multi‑agent systems, or agentic reasoning pipelines Experience with RAG, CAG, or hybrid retrieval‑based reasoning Experience with vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, Redis) and large‑scale embedding systems Experience with ML Ops workflows — monitoring, versioning, model lifecycle, automated evaluation Experience training or fine‑tuning LLMs or domain‑specific models Experience with multimodal models (vision + language) Deep expertise in prompt engineering, context engineering, evaluation strategies, safety guardrails, and fallback design Understanding of Responsible AI, hallucination prevention, and high‑reliability conversational systems Track record of using AI coding tools (Cursor, OpenAI, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development Experience in travel tech, hospitality, e‑commerce, or search‑heavy consumer products About the role Etera is building the future of intelligent travel — where conversation becomes the interface, planning becomes seamless, and discovery feels personal and intuitive. As a dedicated AI Engineer, you’ll architect and implement the intelligence systems that shape Etera’s conversational experiences: multi‑agent reasoning flows, retrieval pipelines, memory layers, safety mechanisms, and ML Ops foundations. You’ll work with autonomy across model selection, infrastructure choices, and workflow design — in a model‑agnostic environment that uses whichever tools deliver the best outcomes (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open‑source). This role requires both depth and creativity. You’ll push the boundaries of retrieval‑augmented reasoning, multimodal intelligence, context optimization, and real‑time conversational UX. You’ll collaborate closely with backend, product, design, and search teams to create flows that feel natural, intelligent, and deeply human. The space is expanding rapidly, and you will help define the intelligence layer powering a new era of AI‑driven travel. Responsibilities Architect and scale Etera’s multi‑agent intelligence system for real‑time recommendations, decision‑making, and bookings Build advanced RAG/CAG frameworks, retrieval pipelines, and context‑aware reasoning flows optimized for chat Develop the knowledge architecture for global venues — embeddings, vector search, ranking, and personalization Apply expert‑level prompt engineering, context engineering, safety techniques, and evaluation methods across all conversational flows Train or fine‑tune models where appropriate and design automated evaluation systems (LLM‑as‑judge, regression detection, human‑in‑the‑loop) Implement safety layers to prevent incorrect details, wrong availability, or booking errors — including deterministic fallback flows and confidence scoring Collaborate with backend, product, and UX teams to design intuitive conversational flows, API contracts, and human‑like interactions Build and maintain end‑to‑end ML Ops pipelines — ingestion, monitoring, versioning, automated evaluation, and CI/CD for agentic systems Establish engineering best practices and contribute to the long‑term architecture of Etera’s AI systems Why Etera Own the intelligence layer of a product built to transform how people explore the world Define the architecture for AI reasoning, retrieval, safety, and multi‑agent orchestration Work with a team that values craftsmanship, creativity, and building technology that feels human Shape a new category of AI‑powered travel discovery #J-18808-Ljbffr
