Reports to: Trade Operations Manager & Head of Grains & Oilseeds Location: Dubai Position Purpose Responsible for the daily execution and handling of grain, agricultural shipments, ensuring that physical and financial strategies are accurately reflected in internal trading systems. The role supports the Trade Operations Manager and Head of Grains & Oilseeds by providing timely and accurate information across all operational aspects of the grain business, including physical positions, vessel movements, pricing, hedging, exposure, and performance reporting. The position also plays a proactive role in identifying optimisation opportunities, managing risks, and ensuring smooth execution of trades from contract to final settlement. Key Responsibilities Execute grain shipments end-to-end (A to Z), including documentation, logistics, and settlement Daily handling, review, and reconciliation of physical positions Maintain and update internal trading systems to accurately capture: Physical positions Direct costs and budgets Freight rates and differentials Trade prices Financial and hedging strategies Coordinate closely with Treasury and banking partners for: Letters of Credit (issuance and handling) Bank collections Trade Structured Finance (TSF) Provide clear and timely operational updates to the Trade Operations Manager Identify and execute optimisation opportunities such as: Adjusting laycans and load dates Rolling hedges where appropriate Monitor vessel positions, discharge windows, and performance Calculate and track demurrage/despatch Identify potential operational risks and elevate issues proactively Collect, analyse, and report operational data to track performance Support other team members as required Job Requirements 3–5+ years of relevant experience with a large commodity trading company (grains preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Strong experience with trade documentation Excellent working knowledge of: Letters of Credit and UCP600 Incoterms GAFTA and ANEC contracts (NAEGA and Incograin knowledge is an advantage) Experience handling dry bulk vessels and containers Experience with futures give-ups and linking hedges to physical contracts Experience with currency hedging linked to trades Strong understanding of demurrage and despatch calculations Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team Strong initiative, communication, and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
