ResponsibilitiesExamine patients’ eyes to diagnose vision problems and eye diseasesPrescribe corrective lenses such as spectacles or contact lensesProvide advice on vision care and the use of contact lenses or spectaclesMonitor changes in vision and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessaryDevelop treatment plans based on patient needsConsult with other healthcare professionals regarding diagnosis and treatment plansMaintain accurate records of patient information and results of examinationsProvide education on vision health topics such as nutrition and hygiene habitsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Optometry or related fieldLicensed Optometrist in the UAE or eligible to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire dateMust be able to speak English fluently; knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not requiredAbility to work well independently as well as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail
