We believe that success starts with a sound team and an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.What you’ll doThe Senior AV & ELV Field Technician will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk to provide service support for customers at sites, restoring functionality to our customers’ assets while delivering a world‑class customer service experience.AV ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret electronic schematics, system drawings, and architectural blueprintsPerform preventative maintenance on a wide range of AV systems including professional projectors, video servers, LED walls, and digital signage systemsClean and maintain AV equipment including camera lenses, monitors, racks, filters, and equipment fansAccurately complete job documentation, service reports, redlines, and handover documentation as requiredField installation, commissioning, and servicing of control systems and programs (Crestron, Q‑SYS, MediaLon, firmware updates, etc.), including upload/download and validationProvide field service support for networked AV systems, including routers, switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and basic network troubleshootingPerform service and installation tasks in a timely and quality‑conscious manner including:Pulling and terminating cablesInstalling connectors and faceplatesMounting projectors, displays, LED panels, and ceiling mountsMaintain and troubleshoot advanced video systems including 7thSense, Pixera, Scalable Displays, Watchout, and digital signage platformsSet up, configure, and troubleshoot video conferencing and collaboration systems (codecs, cameras, microphones, speakers, control interfaces)Provide end‑user training and basic operational guidance for installed AV systemsSupport and mentor junior service technicians and installers when requiredAdhere to site‑specific HSE and client safety standards across all phases of workTravel to various client sites across Dubai and the UAE as requiredPerform other duties as assignedELV ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and troubleshoot ELV systems including:Structured cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A / fiber optic)CCTV systems (IP cameras, NVRs, PoE switches)Access control systems (card readers, door controllers, magnetic locks)Intercom and video intercom systemsPublic Address (PA) and background music systemsMaster clock and time synchronization systemsPerform ELV cable pulling, containment installation (tray, trunking, conduit), dressing, labeling, and termination to industry standardsTest and certify structured cabling using approved test equipment and provide results where requiredInterpret ELV layouts, riser diagrams, schematics, and as‑built drawingsIntegrate ELV systems with AV and IT infrastructure where applicableCoordinate with main contractors, MEP teams, IT teams, and client representatives on ELV‑related worksEnsure ELV installations comply with local authority standards and client HSE requirementsSupport ELV system commissioning, handover, and snag resolutionProvide first‑line fault finding and rectification for ELV systems under maintenance contractsSkills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholdersStrong hands‑on capability using hand and power tools safely and efficientlyAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in live environmentsBasic computer literacy (Windows OS, basic networking concepts, documentation tools)Working knowledge of:Q‑SYS, Dante, Crestron, MediaLon7thSense, Pixera, Scalable DisplaysSolid understanding of audio, video, control, and ELV signal flowAbility to manage small to medium AV / ELV work packages or service jobsSkilled in soldering, crimping, and terminating AV and ELV connectorsValid UAE driving licence with a motor vehicle record meeting AVI‑SPL standardsEducation & ExperienceMinimum 1–3 years of AV and/or ELV integration experience preferredFormal education in Electronics, ELV Systems, or a related field preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)Preferred Training & CertificationsAVIXA CTS (Preferred)Q‑SYS and Dante CertificationCrestron Professional InstallationExtron AV Associate Certification7thSense / Pixera / Watchout / Scalable trainingELV‑related training (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling – preferred)Working Hours42.5 hours per week, Monday to FridayTypical hours: 08:00 – 17:00Additional hours may be required to support client needs and project deliveryHoliday & SicknessIn accordance with AVI‑SPL Employee Terms & ConditionsLocation & TravelThis role operates between AVI‑SPL offices in Dubai and client sites across the UAE.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingReferral NoteReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at AVI‑SPL Middle East by 2x
