- DIC The role: The Immigration and Mobility Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end immigration and mobility support for employees and their dependents across the Middle East. The role ensures employees have the appropriate documentation and support in place of work legally in their assigned location, while helping the firm remain compliant with local immigration requirements. The role also supports temporary and permanent employee moves into, out of, and between offices across the region, coordinating immigration, relocation, and mobility requirements to provide smooth employee experience.
What your day will look likeFrom an HR Operations perspective:Manage end-to-end immigration and mobility processes for employees and their dependents, including visa applications, work permits, renewals, cancellations and related government requirementsAct as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance on immigration processes, documentation requirements, timelines and compliance obligationsCoordinate immigration onboarding, renewals and offboarding activities, ensuring a seamless employee experience and compliance with local regulationsMaintain accurate immigration records and track visa expiries, proactively managing renewals and employee communicationsLiaise with government authorities, external providers and internal stakeholders to facilitate immigration, relocation and mobility activitiesSupport international relocations and temporary assignments, coordinating immigration, travel and relocation requirements where applicablePartner closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance and business stakeholders to support employee lifecycle activities and mobility initiativesKeep abreast of changes in immigration legislation and processes, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant and up to dateManaging pension related matters for GCC employees (GPSSA, Abu Dhabi pension fund, and GOSI)Act as the main point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance through to joining, coordinating immigration and onboarding activities with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely employee experiencePrepare immigration-related documentation, employee letters and certificates as requiredSupport wider HR operations projects and initiatives as neededFrom a Talent Acquisition perspective:Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with candidate sourcing and screening across a range of roles and marketsReview applications and CVs against agreed role requirements and identify suitable candidates for further considerationConduct initial candidate screening calls and provide clear, structured feedback and screening notes to Hiring ManagersSupport with interview coordination and scheduling, liaising with candidates and Hiring Managers to arrange interviews efficientlyAssist with candidate communication and follow-up throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experienceSupport the preparation and administration of candidate assessments, including coordinating completion and tracking outcomesMaintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and recruitment records in Workday and other relevant TA systemsSupport with job postings and recruitment administration, including internal and external advertisingAssist with talent mapping and proactive sourcing for current and anticipated hiring needsProvide general recruitment coordination and administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team as requiredThe teamThis role sits within the Human Resources team in the UAE and reports to the Senior HR Manager, based in Dubai. The HR team supports employees and the business across the Middle East, providing guidance and operational support across a range of people-related matters. The Immigration and Mobility Specialist will work closely with the wider HR team and key stakeholders across the region, supporting employee immigration and mobility requirements and helping facilitate the smooth movement of talent into, out of, and across Fragomen’s Middle East offices.

skills:
Minimum of three years’ experience in HR, mobility, and immigration, preferably within a global organisationStrong knowledge of immigration law in the UAE and preferably in the other MEA locationsA strong, collaborative communicator
