Job Description Senior material and corrosion engineer ResponsibilitiesPrepares and issues material selection guides for medium size projects and participates in the issuance of material selection guides for major projects Designs specifies reviews and evaluates suppliers documents of cathodic protection systems. Designs specifies and reviews corrosion control techniques such as paintings/coatings and corrosion inhibitors. Reviews and approves Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) / Procedure Qualifications Record (PQR) and welding repair procedures for defected castings. Reviews and approves suitability of material of construction proposed by bidders and providing comments as appropriate to requisitions originators to include in the evaluation questionnaires sent to bidders. Assists in the preparation and issuance of material requisitions (MRQ & MRP) for laboratory equipment and furniture.RequirementsMinimum 8 years of job relevant experience including experience in material engineering in the field of oil and gas.
