About the Role The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials and products within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring that goods are handled properly to prevent damage. Responsibilities Forklift OperationOperate forklifts to move materials and products to designated areas in the warehouse or manufacturing facility. Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and stacking of goods. Conduct pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.Material HandlingSafely handle and transport various materials, including pallets, crates, and bulk items. Follow proper procedures for stacking and storing materials to maximize space and maintain organization. Ensure that all materials are labeled correctly and stored in appropriate locations.Safety ComplianceAdhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety training programs and meetings, promoting a culture of safety among team members. Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.Inventory ManagementAssist in inventory control by conducting regular counts of materials and products. Update inventory records as items are received or shipped, ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.Documentation and ReportingComplete required documentation for material movements, including shipping and receiving logs. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workload, safety concerns, and operational issues. Assist in training new forklift operators and other warehouse staff on proper material handling techniques.QualificationsEducation: Valid forklift operator certification/license as per UAE regulations.
