Jobs at this level are responsible to ensure that Commissioning tasks assigned are properly implemented as per work standards and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAble to guide technical issue to several electrical engineers & supervisors under his responsibility.
Direct the daily activities related to discipline SAT, energization and functional testing.
Provide technical support and problem resolving on different equipmentInteract with QA/QC to ensure compliance with company quality procedures. Coordinate internal and client audit request.
Able to analyze technical issues to initiate an appropriate corrective action and report the same to the direct line management.
Able to interface with client as required, attend internal project meetings, ensure the progress of commissioning discipline in accordance to schedule.
Ensure all testing document are available to the testing team and coordinate with field engineering the any corrective action required on the document.
Identify any design failures or discrepancies that may be lessons learned for future projects and report same via line management.
Receives Project documentation and understands Scope of Work related to Electrical discipline.
Lead a team of technicians to undertake commissioning activities in projects.
Interfaces with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities.
Undertake functional and Operational tests for various Systems.
Preparation of method statements, procedures and routines where required.
Reports on work progress, bringing to notice potential problems or delays and recommends solutions.
Assist during the database preparation for pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database for Electrical Systems.
Plan, Monitor and assist in Vendor activities as required.
Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for the subsystem testing.
Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum _12__ year’s relevant experience within the oil and gas industry with at least 4 years in a key role in Commissioning).
