Procurement Strategist Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement effective procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective acquisition of services, plant, and material.Develop and execute strategic plans for procurement that align with organizational goals and objectives.Foster a collaborative work environment by leading and mentoring a team of procurement professionals.Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spending patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs.Manage the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment.Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and vendors.Mitigate supply-chain risks through proactive planning and risk-management strategies.Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, preferably in major infrastructure or transportation projects. Strong leadership skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proven track record of successful contract negotiations, and proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems are required.This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. A strong background in international trade regulations and practices is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is also required.
