Maintenance Engineer

Overview SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Join us as a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer and take ownership of your area, ensuring maintenance keeps assets reliable, efficient, and high-quality. Collaborate with Operations to drive performance and deliver operational excellence every day. The position is based in Dubai and reports to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with internal and external HSEQ requirements, including ATEX standards. Drive proactive maintenance to sustain and improve production capacity and quality across process, packing, and utility equipment (e.g., mixers, pumps, agitators, conveyors, filling and packing lines). Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved procedures and quality standards. Monitor service contractors and regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure reliability, safety, and value. Collaborate closely with Operations to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and product quality. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or critical equipment failures and drive sustainable corrective actions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Matrix Maintenance System, ensuring work order information is consistently recorded. What we are looking for and what we offer Qualification: Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Required: 4–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the paints or chemicals industry. Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively. Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments.
