Hotel Operations Strategist

Leadership OpportunityWe are seeking a strategic business leader to oversee hotel operations. Responsibilities include leading Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance departments.The ideal candidate will develop and implement departmental strategies to meet brand service standards and effectively manage occupancy & rate wages and controllable expenses.The role requires strong leadership skills to champion the brand's service vision and align hotel leadership teams.Candidate RequirementsEducation and ExperienceA 2-year degree in Business Administration or related field with 4 years of experience is required. Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience is acceptable.Managing ProfitabilityResponsibilities include demonstrating key drivers of guest satisfaction, analyzing service issues, and identifying trends.The successful candidate will also monitor hotel operations sales performance against budget and make informed decisions to drive revenue growth.Managing Revenue GoalsThe ideal candidate will review reports and financial statements to determine hotel operations performance against budget.They will also coach operations teams to effectively manage occupancy & rate wages and controllable expenses.Leading Operations and Department TeamsChampioning the brand's service vision and ensuring alignment amongst hotel leadership teams is crucial for this role.The successful candidate will also develop systems to enable employees to understand guest satisfaction results.Managing the Guest ExperienceResponsibilities include reviewing guest feedback, taking corrective action, and responding to guest problems and complaints.The ideal candidate will foster employee commitment to providing excellent service and participate in daily stand-up meetings.Managing and Conducting Human Resources ActivitiesKey responsibilities include setting goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process.The successful candidate will also participate in training and development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
