The role involves assisting senior engineers with design coordination, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables, and gaining practical experience in mechanical engineering design within a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and drafting of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Conduct basic engineering calculations such as heat load, pressure drop, and flow create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical designs.
Participate in field inspections, gathering data, and assisting in the commissioning of mechanical systems.
Participate in multidisciplinary project coordination, working with electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, as-built drawings, and revisionsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering0-3 years of experience in mechanical design or related engineering projects (internships or co-op experience is beneficial)Familiarity with mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar)Proficiency in drafting and modeling mechanical systemsBasic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material scienceEffective communication skills, both written and verbal
