JobDescription

  • Performs daily field inspections andmaintains inspection records.
  • Participates inpunch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracksquality assurance progress.
  • Provides input todocumentation for area and equipmentturnovers.
  • Has knowledge of Abu DhabiAuthorities and Standards.
  • Preferred Experienceon Dry Utilities like MV, LV, HV, Sub Stations, Cabling, MCC,Telecom Networks, Traffic Networks, Street Lighting WithAuthorities like ADDC, TRANSCO , ITC, MCC,Etisalat

Qualifications

MinimumQualification :

  • Highschool/ Technical Institute Diploma / Bachelor's Degree inrelevant Engineering field ( Electrical,etc.)

Experience:

  • Theideal candidate to be Civil Engineering graduate with a minimum 10years' experience in similar works or Technical InstituteDiploma in related field with minimum 12+ years'experience in similar works or High School or equivalent institutegraduate with minimum 14+ years' experience in similarworks.
  • Experience into Street lighting / 11& 132 KV /Infra works.
  • Mentoring JuniorInspectors : Providing guidance and training to lessexperienced inspectors or contractors on electrical systems, safetypractices, and codecompliance.
  • Education andAwareness : Conducting or attending workshops to stayupdated on electrical inspection best practices, new technologies,and evolving codes.
Desired candidate profile

1.Inspection of ElectricalInstallations

  • On-SiteInspections : Conducting on-site inspections ofelectrical installations, including wiring, outlets, panels,switches, and lighting systems, to ensure compliance with safetycodes and regulations (such as the National Electrical Code orlocal regulations).
  • SafetyCompliance : Ensuring that all electrical systems areinstalled according to safety standards, local electrical codes,and manufacturerguidelines.
  • QualityAssurance : Inspecting the quality of electrical workand ensuring that all installations and repairs meet the requiredspecifications.

2.Testing andTroubleshooting

  • SystemTesting : Performing tests on electrical systems andequipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely. Thiscan include checking for voltage, grounding, resistance, andcontinuity.
  • Troubleshooting :Identifying any electrical faults or deficiencies in theinstallation or operation of electrical systems, diagnosing theproblem, and recommending appropriate correctiveactions.

3. CodeCompliance

  • Knowledgeof Electrical Codes : Staying updated on electricalcodes, such as the National Electrical Code(NEC) , IEC standards ,or local building codes, and applying these regulations to allinspections.
  • RegulatoryCompliance : Ensuring that electrical systems meetlegal and regulatory requirements, including fire safety, energyefficiency, and environmentalconsiderations.
  • Documentation :Reviewing electrical permits, plans, and designs for compliancewith code requirements and documenting inspectionresults.

4. ReportingandDocumentation

  • InspectionReports : Preparing detailed inspection reports thatdocument the findings of electrical inspections, including anyviolations or deficiencies and the corrective actionsrequired.
  • DeficiencyNotices : Issuing notices or reports fornon-compliant or unsafe electrical work, and following up to ensurenecessary corrective measures aretaken.
  • RecordKeeping : Maintaining records of inspections,testing, and compliance reports for future reference andaudits.
