Overview of the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of AI Strategy and Data Transformation to join our team at Al Futtaim Automotive. This role is pivotal in delivering our overall Data and AI Strategy and ensuring the adoption of data and AI use cases by business stakeholders across all lines of businesses.

What you will do

  • Drive implementation of Data and AI Strategy and create data-driven decision-making culture throughout the organization.
  • Establish strong relationships with Managing Directors, senior leadership, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of data and AI use cases into business processes.
  • Manage cross-functional teams of data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver strategic AI and data analytics projects across all lines of business.
  • Manage all data engineering, modeling, governance, and reporting initiatives for Al Futtaim Automotive.
  • Achieve target business goals set together with the Chief Data Officer and evaluated against them regularly.
  • Regularly interact with the team to ensure required project dependencies such as data, computational resources, software licenses, access rights, etc. are provided within planned timeframes.
  • Adhere to Al Futtaim Automotive policies, corporate culture, business objectives, and strategic goals.
  • Perform work in accordance with policies defined within the Data Office related to work ethics, data processing, people management, and business project delivery.

Required skills to be successful

  • 10 years of practical experience in delivering large-scale Data and AI Transformation projects for large corporations.
  • Consulting background with excellent problem-solving, presentation, communication, and managerial skills.
  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Data Engineering, Feature Engineering, Data Modeling, ETL, Big Data, Data Architecture, Metadata Management, AI Change Management, Python, PySpark, SQL, and Deep Learning.

You will be leading a team of talented professionals including Senior Managers in Data Engineering, Enterprise Analytics and Reporting, Data Governance, and AI Strategy and Engineering. The team is dedicated to driving data-driven decision-making and implementing high-quality, accurate models to support business stakeholders across all lines of businesses.
