Vice President, Products and Solutions, Consumer, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait & Pakistan

Overview
The Business Leader, Product Management - UAE, Qatar, Kuwait & Pakistan will be responsible for managing the product strategies and implementation plans across all Digital Payment & Labs product suites including developing the go-to-market strategies to commercialize Digital Payment products in the market. He/She will also be responsible to manage the in-region relationship with all the Global Digital wallet operators and jointly track the roll-out plans. He/she will work in alignment with the regional & global product development organization, in market account management and market development teams to derive issuer, acquirer, merchant and consumer needs and issues.

Role

  1. The candidate will be the Digital Payments & Labs Market lead for UAE, Qatar, Kuwait & Pakistan
  2. Work with region as well as global product teams to develop converged product strategies and implementation plans across all Digital payment product suites.
  3. Develop go to market strategies for commercializing Digital Payment products leveraging global partnerships and forging local partnerships including the fintech community.
  4. Identify and develop local partnerships to help accelerate the delivery of Digital payment solutions in the market.
  5. Manage the in-region relationship with all the Global Digital wallet operators and jointly track the roll-out plans.
  6. Manage the in-region relationship with all the Global MasterCard Accounts and jointly track the roll-out plans.
  7. Lead the Mobile Payment ecosystem build in UAE with UAE Banking Federation (UBF).
  8. Work closely with Global Product Development, local account teams, Expert Sales and other colleagues to understand MasterCard, issuer, merchant and consumer needs and issues and lead market level solutioning based on these needs.
  9. Collaborate with Account Management, Expert Sales & others to ensure understanding of market strategies and drive alignment to the regional and global strategy.
  10. Support Account management and market development team to drive Digital Roadmap discussions with key stakeholders in the market - Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants.
  11. Support Expert Sales and Account teams as needed meeting with clients and communicating mobile strategy, product innovation, business building strategies and overall market direction.
  12. Assess and understand the mobile payments market, competition, market direction and trends.
  13. Effectively engage Consumer and Customer Marketing, Communications and other colleagues to support the launch of new products, features and functionality.
  14. Lead cross functional projects, identifying and including appropriate resources, budgets, departments, and customers in the creation and implementation of new mobile payment products, policies and features within the assigned markets.

All About You

  1. Expert level experience in the payment/technology industry in product management, market development, product development with professional experience in ecommerce/mobile area.
  2. Demonstrable & visible experience for commercialization of a digital solution in a large market is critical.
  3. Experience working across cultures, experience working in more than one country is highly desired.
  4. Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced; dynamic work environment - Startup experience or working in new product development/innovation departments of a larger corporation is required.
  5. Strong operational/technical background within the payments and financial services industries.
  6. Leadership experience in product management and development.
  7. Understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends.
  8. Ability to interpret macro-economic and demographic trends, with an ability to craft research and validation processes that support the selection of features and functions that support digital payment growth opportunities.
