Orthopedic Surgeon dutiesandresponsibilities:

  • Consultingwith patients and analyzing patient data to determine patient needsand treatment goals.
  • Examining patients todiagnose bone joint ligament or other musculoskeletal problemsincluding diseases or injuries.
  • Collaboratingwith other specialists when necessary to determine a course oftreatment.
  • Recording patient care bymaintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients includingcomments tests and/or treatments prescribed and testresults.
  • Administering general and localanesthetics when necessary.
  • Performing surgicalprocedures on various parts of the musculoskeletal system includingplating broken bones reattaching tendons and ligaments orperforming joint or hip replacements among otherprocedures.
  • Prescribing medication to improverecovery and control pain after surgicalprocedures.
  • Referring patients to physicaltherapy when necessary or performing noninvasive procedures such ascasting and splinting limbs.
  • Monitoring ongoingprogress and health of patients and changing treatment plans asnecessary.
  • Providing support and advice topatients receiving longterm care.
  • Conductingresearch on defects diseases and disorders affecting themusculoskeletalsystem.

OrthopedicSurgeon requirements andqualifications:

  • Previousworking experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon for 3year(s)
  • Specialization degree or masters inOrthopedic Surgery
  • Indepth knowledge of handfoot and spine surgery
  • Superb dexterity andhandeye coordination
  • Outstanding patientmanagement skills
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
