Who are we looking for As a Senior Faade Designer at GHD you will work on complex faade projects around the UAE and the GCC. You will have experience with all types of faade systems and construction methodologies including stick/unitized curtain wall systems and skylights door and window systems cladding systems (including stone concrete and aluminum) balustrades lightweight structures etc. We are seeking candidates who are keen to develop faade systems to meet increasingly complex industry demands. This includes responsibility for all design documentation administration and compliance for projects undertaken by the facades team. Collaborating with the growing faade team and the wider GHD teams you will work across multidisciplinary and specialist projects that require faade expertise. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Collaborate closely with GHD clients and provide specialist input during design and tender phases of projects to resolve technical problems and ensure quality of services. Coordinate with internal and external teams including Architecture Structural Engineering MEP Engineering Acoustic Engineering Fire and Life Safety Faade Access Project Management etc. Use AutoCAD Rhino and Revit to communicate intent and prepare facade design documentation. Design and detailing of various faade systems and cladding types involving different materials and systems to meet the complex facade demands of the project. Prepare design reports for design stages. Liaise with manufacturers and system suppliers to better understand capabilities and limitations of their products. Provide practical advice to clients on buildability and faade construction processes. Coordinate with Main Contractors and their specialist subcontractors. Handle routine contract administration for office and project procedures. Responsible for project drafting compliance with the Companys procedures work instructions and goals and client requirements. Manage project drafting resources and schedules to maintain the program. Manage and mentor Junior Faade Draftsperson/s. What you will bring to the team: Minimum bachelors degree in engineering or architecture Minimum 10 years experience in Faade Design preferably with a mix of consultancy and contracting experience. Experience working in the UAE is essential. Experience working in the office and on site. Expert in AutoCAD Revit and Rhino. Sound knowledge in faade systems and design and relevant codes and standards. Strong track record of working crossfunctionally within a complex matrix organization. Experience in forming strong and collaborative relationships with team members across different regions and focus areas. Ability to hand sketch and present ideas during meetings and presentations.
