The Service Technician is responsible for performing minor periodic maintenance, vehicle inspections, and basic repair activities in accordance with MG Guidelines, IEM SOP, and Company Standards. The role supports diagnostic technicians, ensures accurate job execution, maintains workshop discipline, and contributes to overall operational efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out minor periodic service maintenance as per MG Guidelines and IEM SOP. Repair or replace worn and faulty parts according to job orders. Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) for vehicles. Use scanning tools (VDS) to read and erase fault codes. Assist repair and diagnostic technicians as required. Participate in continuous technical training to stay updated with evolving automotive technologies. Maintain an inventory of standard technician tools and ensure proper usage. Provide clear and accurate job write‑ups, highlight observations, and elevate safety‑related concerns to the superior. Clock in and out of assigned job orders in accordance with standard procedures. Coordinate with the Workshop Controller on vehicle status and with the Parts Advisor to obtain required parts. Follow superior instructions in line with Company SOP. Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Safeguard company assets and ensure a clean, organized work area. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar role. Education: High Diploma in Mechanics or equivalent. Certification: Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification is required. Languages: Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred. Computer Skills: Computer‑literate with basic system knowledge. Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with telephone and computer usage is preferred.
