  • To perform the professional dutiesof a gastroenterologist in accordance with the delineation ofprivileges as recommended and approved by the CredentialsCommittee.
  • To conduct assessment &re-assessment for all patients in the OPD, on admission, and priorto any procedure.
  • To perform his duties in theG.I Clinic, evaluating patients with G.I.diseases.
  • To perform G.I Clinic, upper andlower G.I. endoscopies, liver biopsis, esophageal motility studies,ERCP, EUS.
  • To provide consultation/referralservices to the in-patient services in his area ofexpertise.
  • Provides after working hours on callemergency coverage for G.I. emergencies as per theschedule.
  • Provides supervision and education tothe endoscopy staff, nurses andtechnicians.
  • Participates and contributes toall the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthlymortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chartreview).
