We are seeking a highly skilled SeniorInstrumentation Engineer to join our team in Dubai UAE to supportthe design and of a largescale onshore oil and gas project in theMiddle East. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience ininstrumentation engineering within the oil and gas industryparticularly in the areas of Detailed Engineering system designintegration and installation of instrumentation systems critical tothe operation of oil and gas facilities. The Senior InstrumentationEngineer will be responsible for ensuring that all instrumentationsystems are designed installed and tested in line with projectrequirements industry standards and safety regulations.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and engineering of instrumentationsystems including process control systems safety instrumentedsystems (SIS) measurement and control instrumentation and othercritical systems for oil and gas facilities.
  • Develop and review detailed engineering documentationsuch as datasheets control system designs P&IDs (Piping andInstrumentation Diagrams) instrumentation layouts andspecifications.
  • Perform instrumentation sizingspecification and selection ensuring compliance with industry codesand standards (e.g. ISA IEC API ANSI).
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines(mechanical electrical civil and telecom) to ensure seamlessintegration of instrumentation systems into the overall projectdesign.
  • Support the procurement process forinstrumentation and control systems ensuring specifications meetproject requirements and procurement schedules.
  • Review and approve vendor documentation forinstrumentation systems ensuring compliance with technicalspecifications quality standards and projectrequirements.
  • Provide technical support duringinstallation commissioning and startup ensuring all instrumentationsystems meet performance criteria and projectrequirements.
  • Oversee the calibration andtesting of instrumentation systems to verify proper functionalityand performance.
  • Ensure instrumentationsystems comply with safety regulations including the application ofHAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies risk assessments and safetyinstrumented systems (SIS) design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentationrelated technicalissues during project and operations.
  • Provideinput into the maintenance strategy for instrumentation systems toensure longterm reliability and performance.
  • Deliver training and guidance to junior engineers andproject teams on instrumentation system design installation andoperation.
  • Ensure all instrumentation systemsare designed for reliability scalability and future upgradesaligning with best practices and innovative solutions in the oiland gas sector.
  • Maintain effectivecommunication with project management and stakeholders providingregular reports and updates on the progress of instrumentationdesign and implementation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in InstrumentationEngineering Electrical Engineering or a related field (Mastersdegree preferred).
  • 1015 years of experience ininstrumentation engineering within the oil and gas industry with afocus on onshore projects.
  • Extensiveexperience in detailed engineering design for instrumentationsystems including control systems safety systems and measurementinstrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge ofinstrumentation standards and codes such as ISA IEC API and ANSIand their application in oil and gas environments.
  • Proficient in instrumentation design software (AutoCADSmartPlant or similar) and control system design tools.
  • Handson experience in calibration testing andtroubleshooting of instrumentation systems in the field.
  • Strong experience with control systems distributedcontrol systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers(PLC).
  • Fluent in English both written andspoken; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on optimizinginstrumentation system performance and efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinateacross various engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills both technical andinterpersonal with the ability to explain complex technicalconcepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Abilityto handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tightproject deadlines.
  • Indepth knowledge of safetyinstrumented systems (SIS) and safety standards in the oil and gasindustry.
  • Experience in the Middle East ishighly desirable particularly in onshore oil and gasprojects.
