Duties andresponsibilities include but are not limitedto:
- Reviewsand evaluates payment certificates
- Preparesreviews and updates cashflows.
- Prepare costoptions studies for a variety of infrastructure and public realmassets.
- Possess sound knowledge and experienceof all infrastructure works elements roads sitewide utilities& associated plants and equipment structuresetc
- Assist in assessing evaluating and makingrecommendations related to any financial claim and providing thenecessary input with regards to settling suchclaims.
- Assist in evaluation all changemanagement including variations additional works field changesadditions and omissions and incorporation of the same within themonthly cost reports.
- Preparing and pricingChange Orders and negotiating agreement with the client andcontractor as necessary.
- Prepare star rates fornew items and independently negotiate the rates for valuing of anyinstructed variations.
- Conducting viabilitystudies and cost estimates.
- Provide assistanceto the team during negotiations arbitration or any other forms ofdispute resolution.
- Evaluates and negotiatesfinal accounts settlements
- Working knowledge ofindustry recognized Contract forms (FIDIC) and standard methods ofmeasurement including CESMM POMI NRM.
- Excellentpresentation and negotiation skills
- Responsiblefor monitoring and managing all commercial and contractual mattersrelated to the Project Works and liaising with Commercial/ ProjectDirector to prepare responses and proposing mitigatingactions.
- Chair commercial meetings activelyparticipate in monthly progress meetings and interface with otherconstruction team members to plan and meet overall projectdeliverables.
- Responsible for preparing allcommercial based management information as required to supportmonthly and adhoc reportingrequirements.
- Initiate monitor and respond toall Contractual and Commercialcorrespondences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegree in Quantity Surveying Engineering or a related field from anaccredited institution with minimum 15 years relevantexperience.
- Prior work experience with Al AinMunicipality is preferred.
- Actively workingtowards MRICS or equivalent professionalaccreditation.
- Demonstrable experience ininfrastructure projects including roads utilities and associatedstructures.
- Thorough understanding of FIDICcontracts and standard methods of measurement (CESMM POMINRM).
- Knowledge of UAE construction industrystandards and practices is preferred.
- Abilityto work effectively in a team environment and liaise with variousstakeholders.
