EEG Technician

- Prepares and provides EEG clinic preparation for early morning.
- Ensures consent is taken prior to any procedure.
- Explains procedures to patients with support of their language with PRO department staff (if needed). Checks for any contraindications to the procedure and informs the Doctor if any.
- Conducts EEG recordings, nerve conduction studies, assists Neurologist in EMG examination, evoked response testing, polysomnographic recording, and monitoring of responses during patient testing.
- Participates in any QI activities and attends continuing education activities relevant to mandatory requirements.
- Maintains current knowledge of procedures and maintenance of new equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintains the stock of disposables required in the department.
- Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures of NMCSH - Dubai.
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Head of the Department.
- Follows appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging professional duties.
Diploma/Certificate in EEG Technology, preferably certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies, and 1-2 years of experience as an EEG technician.
Current license in the country of origin with DHA license to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience as an EEG technician.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Arabic speaking is desirable but not essential.
