  • Early bird program and afternoon dismissal will be on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Spanish philology or Spanish language and literature:
    • A degree in Spanish philology, Spanish language and literature, or a related field is required.
    • Grado en filología hispánica o lengua y literatura española: grado en filología hispánica, lengua y literatura española o un campo relacionado.
  • Master's in teacher training for secondary education:
    • A master's degree in teacher training for secondary education (máster en formación del profesorado de educación secundaria obligatoria y bachillerato y enseñanza de idiomas) with a specialization in Spanish/English language and literature.
    • Máster en formación del profesorado de educación secundaria: máster en formación del profesorado de educación secundaria obligatoria y bachillerato FP y enseñanza de idiomas con especialización en lengua castellana y literatura.
  • Teaching certification/license:
    • Official teaching certification or equivalent qualifications recognized by the relevant educational authorities in Spain.
    • Certificación oficial de profesorado: certificación oficial o cualificaciones equivalentes reconocidas por las autoridades educativas pertinentes en España.

Experience and skills:

  • Proven experience teaching secondary students, preferably in a multicultural or international setting.
  • Native speaker of Spanish. Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish curriculum and familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and active learning strategies.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace the multicultural setting of the school.
  • Passion for teaching, a creative approach to education, and a commitment to promoting students' holistic development.
