Awareness of safety protocols, quality control measures, and maintenance procedures is also crucial. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational training or certification in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field being preferred. Experience in operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines is essential, as is proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measurement tools. Key Responsibilities Set up and calibrate 2-axis CNC lathe machines for production. Monitor machine operations, adjust settings, and ensure smooth workflow. Inspect machined parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and tool management to optimize performance. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or programming issues. Maintain records of production, quality checks, and machine performance. Implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace protocols.
