Director Technology Finance Director of Technology Finance | MAF Global Solutions | Global Solutions UAE The Director of Technology Finance will be a key executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and management of technology investments across a large retail group. This role demands a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of both financial management and technology, combined with extensive experience in driving financial performance for large-scale digital transformation and technology-driven initiatives. Role Profile Lead the development and execution of financial strategies for the technology division, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals and strategic priorities. Oversee the creation and management of the annual technology budget, ensuring comprehensive planning across all technology departments, including IT operations, infrastructure, software development, and digital transformation projects. Provide high-level reporting on financial results, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial impact assessments, to the executive team and board of directors. Lead the financial performance tracking of all technology-related projects, ensuring that resources are being efficiently allocated and that technology investments are delivering expected ROI. Establish and enforce governance processes for financial decision-making related to technology, ensuring adherence to financial controls, compliance standards, and industry regulations. Drive the development and management of a comprehensive portfolio of technology investments, ensuring that capital allocation is optimized to achieve both short- and long-term business goals. Foster strong partnerships with business operations, strategy, and technology teams to align financial goals with broader business outcomes. Evaluate and implement best‑in‑class financial tools, systems, and processes that support effective technology finance management, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and transparency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree/certification preferred. Minimum of 12‑15 years of experience in finance, with at least 7 years in a senior finance role focused on technology investments or technology‑driven environments, ideally within a large retail, e-commerce, or technology organization. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing technology finance teams, driving financial performance in large-scale technology initiatives. Extensive experience in financial management for large technology projects, digital transformation efforts, and IT infrastructure investments. Strong expertise in financial modelling, capital planning, and performance metrics specific to technology and IT projects. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high levels of financial accuracy.
