Summary :

As the Lead - Healthcare Data and AI Solution Architect, you are a technology leader who will define and drive the technical architecture for PureHealth's AI and data initiatives within the provider network. You will be instrumental in building a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports the development, deployment, and operation of our AI solutions. You will possess a unique ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices, and overseeing the integration of different data sources and AI components into a unified system. Reporting to the Executive Director of AI and Data, you will lead a team of architects and collaborate closely with engineering teams to bring the product vision to life. You should be a strong technical leader with a passion to orchestrate data and AI architectures, infrastructure, and capabilities for highly innovative organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain a comprehensive and scalable data and AI architecture that aligns with PureHealth's strategic objectives and long-term vision.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data storage, processing, integration, security, and governance, in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to engineering teams, ensuring the highest standards of code quality and system performance.
  • Evaluate existing systems, technologies, and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization to meet future demands.

Data and AI Infrastructure Design:

  • Lead the design and development of secure and scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and AI development platforms using state of the art methodologies.
  • Define and implement architecture patterns for data ingestions and consumption by AI systems.
  • Develop technical specifications, blueprints, and documentation for AI and Data Infrastructure, in line with business requirements and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain standards for data governance, data quality and data access control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the design enables fast iterations and delivery on the strategic roadmap.

Technical Oversight & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams during the design, development, and deployment of AI products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, product, operations, and business) to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions across the organization's technology stack.
  • Ensure that all technical solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations (such as HL7 FHIR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a process for evaluating new and emerging technologies and assessing their suitability for the organization's long term roadmap.

Team Mentoring and Skill Development:

  • Mentor and guide a team of architects and engineers, fostering their technical growth and career development.
  • Provide technical training and guidance on the use of new tools, technologies and frameworks.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT architecture, data engineering, software engineering, with at least 7+ years focused on data and AI architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable data platforms, pipelines, and infrastructure using cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data integration, and data governance principles and practices.
  • Solid understanding of various AI frameworks and tools to design AI solutions and related infrastructure requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with different databases including relational and NoSQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
  • Prior experience working with Healthcare and/or Bio-Medical Data.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization with distributed teams.
