Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for tenders and project bids Analyse project specifications, drawings, and schedules to determine material and labour requirements Conduct market research to create data on material and labour costs Estimate unit rates including materials, equipment, labour, overheads, and profit margins Prepare cost breakdowns and summaries for clients and project managers Identify and manage project risks and contingencies Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements in cost estimation Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation for civil and architectural projects Strong understanding of cost estimation principles, tools, and techniques Proficient in using cost estimation software (e.g., Candy CCS) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience Opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects Supportive and collaborative work environment Professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
