This role is responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complex Audio-Visual systems during and post build. This position will also provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. You'll work closely with the Project Manager to provide documented test results from system testing and commissioning.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  1. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  2. Test point-to-point functionality of systems
  3. Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
  4. Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron and DSP systems
  5. Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron) upload and download capability
  6. Write code for DSP systems
  7. Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
  8. Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
  9. Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
  10. Perform client training and final job documentation as needed
  11. Act as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
  12. Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist
  13. Ability to travel to various job sites required

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

  1. Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
  2. Proven business writing skills
  3. Proficient with test and calibration equipment
  4. Support user acceptance testing
  5. Minor programming capability (AMX/Crestron) changes and troubleshooting
  6. Ability to diagnose complex system problems
  7. Knowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
  8. Understand IP networking
  9. Advanced PC proficiency
  10. Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues
  11. Excellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing priorities
  12. Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  13. Solid organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  14. Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
  15. Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  16. Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools, and materials.

Nice-To-Haves:

  1. Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  2. Minimum 5 years of AV Installation experience preferred
  3. A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
  4. Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) both hardware and software
  5. AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
