With your expertise, you will guide junior estimators and collaborate with project managers to ensure that all estimates are commercially viable and aligned with business objectives. Your contribution will be instrumental in the decision‑making process, positioning the company competitively in the marketplace. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. Review proposals and other documentation to prepare accurate cost analyses. Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimations align with project goals. Oversee and guide junior estimators in cost estimation techniques. Maintain detailed records of cost information for future reference and analysis. Identify potential risks and offer solutions to mitigate cost overruns. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive costs. Evaluate site‑specific conditions and their impact on project costs. Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management and stakeholders. Utilize industry‑standard software and tools for accurate cost estimation. Continuously update knowledge on materials, processes, and industry trends. Support the development of proposals that are cost‑effective and competitive. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar estimating role. Proficiency with estimation software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess project requirements. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and proposals. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
