Our client is a multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Dubai, specialising in architecture, engineering, interior design, and master planning.
The Position
This role will be pivotal in leading the technical design aspects of a diverse portfolio of mid-to-large scale projects, ensuring high-quality execution, compliance, and efficiency across all project phases. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical detailing, and drive the seamless integration of design concepts into buildable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the technical design process across multiple large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
- Provide technical expertise during concept, schematic, and detailed design stages, ensuring feasibility and constructability.
- Maintain high standards of technical detailing, specifications, and material selection to enhance design integrity.
- Guide and mentor junior designers, technical architects, and consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to streamline project delivery and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure all designs adhere to UAE building codes, sustainability regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, BIM workflows, and digital tools to enhance design efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical design, preferably in a consultancy environment handling large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and sustainability practices in the UAE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Rhino, and other relevant design tools.
- Proven experience in leading project teams and coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and technical precision.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
