We are currently seeking a Senior Estimation Engineer (Civil) to join our UAE team. In this role, you'll be responsible for independently estimating construction costs, time, materials, labor, and equipment. The position involves thorough cost analysis, verifying quantities, reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes, and preparing competitive tenders. The ideal candidate will have strong resource management skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a collaborative approach with the Estimating Manager and team to ensure project success. This is a good opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and grow within a dynamic environment.

Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Estimator on major RTA and Infrastructure projects including roads, rail, bridges, and tunnels projects and contracts in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include calculating various statistical data, such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per person-hour, and equipment costs. You will also be tasked with researching historical data, including purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports, to compile summary reports that will help develop guidelines and precedents for future estimates. You will also be responsible for review of quantity take-off from engineering drawings for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works and assess the bids of OEM/Supplier/Vendor/Contractors and prepare commercial Bid Analysis to finalize the cost estimation.

In addition to these tasks, you will participate in the development of project update and bid package estimate documents, ensuring that all estimates are accurate and comprehensive. Maintaining files of working documents to back up estimating figures will be essential, as will assisting in the monitoring of conceptual estimates against actual cost data.

You will also be expected to perform additional assignments as directed by the Estimating Manager, contributing to the overall success of the estimating team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution preferred and 10+ years of previous construction estimating, engineering, or similar experience preferred.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects is essential, particularly with government projects such as roads, utilities, bridges, metros, or railways.
  • A minimum of 10 years of total experience in the GCC is required, with a preference for experience in UAE Government or RTA projects.
  • Pre-Contract Experience.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on time with time management to meet submission deadlines.
  • General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing required.
  • Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and good communication skills in both written and verbal communication.
