About the Role:
TRE is seeking aProject Engineer - Crane & Lifting to manage and oversee engineering activities related to the maintenance, repair, and upgrade ofOFFSHORE CRANES . This role involves working closely with clients and field staff to ensure project success within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, and resources.
- Collaborate with clients to define requirements and deliverables.
- Oversee offshore crane maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities.
- Prepare comprehensive work packs, including risk assessments, lifting plans, and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor inspections and onshore refurbishments.
- Compile inspection and close-out reports
- Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions for crane repairs and upgrades.
- Review and implement engineering drawings and calculations.
- Prepare lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for complex operations.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Maintain high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive project records for audits and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports, job cards, maintenance logs, and close-out documents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (B.Sc. preferred).
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems is essential for troubleshooting & Maintenance
- At least 5 years of experience in offshore/onshore lifting operations.
- Proficiency in writing lifting plans, risk assessments, and supervising critical lifts.
- Familiarity with Lifting Equipment Regulations and relevant codes/standards.
- LEEA qualifications will be added advantage
