Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architect with expertise in Carpentry to join our construction/contracting company based in Abu Dhabi. As an Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing the execution of high-quality carpentry and interior fit-out projects, ensuring aesthetic excellence, structural integrity, and compliance with local building codes and client specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural designs, drawings, and blueprints for construction and carpentry-related projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure seamless execution of architectural plans.
  • Review and refine designs based on client requirements, budget constraints, and functional needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi and Dubai building regulations, sustainability standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to source high-quality materials for carpentry and interior projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance on carpentry details, joinery works, and finishing techniques.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • 12-15 years of architectural experience, including at least 6-8 years in the Gulf region.
  • Strong expertise in carpentry, joinery works, and interior fit-outs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards in Abu Dhabi.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Professional licensure or certification in architecture is preferred.
  • UAE Driving Licence.
