Top Technical Requirements:
  • Leads the design and optimization of aircraft components, including fuselage, wings, and control surfaces, ensuring all components meet specified requirements and standards.
  • Incorporates structural and aerodynamic considerations seamlessly into the design process, ensuring balanced functionality and performance of aerospace structures.
  • Applies deep understanding of the applied aerodynamics and flight dynamics to guide and enhance design projects.
  • Utilizes control theory knowledge to ensure stability and optimize the performance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
  • Deep understanding of the process of aircraft conceptual design – formulation of requirements, generation of concepts, trade-off studies, sensitivity analysis, MDO.
  • Applies strong mathematical skills in various aspects of aerospace engineering, from design computations to simulation result interpretations.
  • Communicates complex technical information effectively, both in writing and orally, ensuring clarity and comprehension among technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Establishes Infrastructure, Tools, and Labs.
  • Supports the chief engineer in the form of technical contributions.
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience:
  • Minimum 12 years in the drone industry including 5+ years in a senior/team lead role.
  • Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable.
  • PhD specifically in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Knowledge of guided weapon is preferable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MATLAB, and any CAD package (Solidworks preferred).
  • Proficient in low fidelity tools (XFLR5) and advanced simulations (ANSYS Fluent) for fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
  • Working knowledge of UAV propulsion – electric and ICE – selection, integration, optimization.
  • Expert knowledge of aircraft conceptual design.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft control theory.
