We are looking for an amazing individual tojoin our dynamic team as Lead Back End Architecture to drive thedevelopment of cuttingedge solutions and shape the future of ourproducts. You will lead and mentor the BackEnd team serving as botha strategic and technical leader to ensure the delivery ofhighquality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deepunderstanding of BackEnd architectures and technologies strongtechnical skills and proven leadership experience. You willcollaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including designersproduct managers and developers to deliver a seamless and engagingapp experience. This role reports to the SVP Platform and is basedin Dubai.

  • Mentor and guide backenddevelopers fostering a collaborative and innovative teamenvironment.
  • Lead the development andmaintenance of our consumer app backend including handson codingcode reviews and troubleshooting to ensure the timely delivery ofhighquality software solutions.
  • Design anddevelop scalable robust and highly efficient software systems thatmeet the strategic objectives of thebusiness.
  • Advocate for and implement bestpractices in software engineering including agile developmentautomated testing continuous integration and SRE (monitoringobservability logging).
  • Focus on optimizingsoftware performance through innovative coding practices andsolutions ensuring high efficiency and responsiveness of thesystems.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks andimplement optimizations to enhance the responsiveness andefficiency of the platform.
  • Conduct codereviews to maintain code quality andconsistency.
  • Stay up to date with the latestindustry trends technologies and best practices in backenddevelopment and architecturedesigns.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issuesproviding timely resolutions.
  • Participate inthe entire app lifecycle from concept and design to testing andrelease.
  • Create and maintain comprehensivetechnical documentation including specifications and developmentguidelines.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelorsdegree in computer science Engineering or related field; Mastersdegree preferred.
  • Proven experience 5 yearsminimum) working as a Lead Back End Architecture or similar rolepreferably in the development of mission critical systems orfinancial applications.
  • Strong architecturaland system design skills in technologies such as microservicesdistributed systems cloud computing event driven systems and RESTAPI design.
  • Strong expertise with datastores ofany kind (RDBMS NoSQL KeyValue QueueManagement)
  • Strong handson expertise in backend development especially technologies such as Go orKafka
  • Experience with Cloud technologiesorchestration (K8s Docker) CI/CD automated testing and other DevOpstools and methodologies
  • Experience working withdatastores of any kind (RDBMS NoSQL KeyValue Queue Management
  • Proven track record of delivering successfullylargescale critical software projects.
  • Strongproficiency in writing clean maintainable and efficientcode.
  • Ability to look at the bigger picture andcreate a scalable backend architecture.
  • Solidunderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)methodologies including Agile Scrum orKanban.
  • Excellent communication skills with theability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts tonontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong analyticaland problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail and acommitment to delivering highqualitysolutions.
  • Strong focus on security andapplication performance.
  • Data driven with asolid experience measuring performance of the applications(observability)
  • Ability to thrive in afastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple prioritieseffectively.

Desirable:

  • Experienceworking on a B2C application is a strongplus
  • Familiarity with trading or financialapplications and their specificrequirements
