Petroleum Inspector

- Perform quantitydeterminations according to industry standards for variouscommodities including petroleum products and crude in variouscontainers such as shore tanks vessel tanks ISO tanks/drums andtank trucks.
- Conduct sampling as per industrystandards with knowledge of various sampling methods includingrunning alllevel spot upper/middle/lower and dead bottom.Wellversed in the different types of samplers utilized in thepetroleumindustry.
- Conduct inspections ofpetrochemicals collecting samples for laboratory analysis retentionand clients.
- Physically measure andrecord the temperature of shore tanks using variousmethods in accordance with company and APIprocedures.
- Calculate andreport transferred quantities conducting thoroughreconciliations and capable of performing voyageanalysis.
- Work in cooperation with clientsrepresentatives vessel agents vessel personnel expeditorssuperintendents government agents/authorities and shore facilitypersonnel to ensure accurate results areachieved.
- Maintain regularcommunication with office staff with reference to job statusproblems concernsetc.
Qualifications:
- Engineering orequivalent bachelors degree 7 Years of Corepetroleum inspection experience.
- 3 Years ofworking experience in Ruwais refinery and jetty handling ofpetroleum and Crude / LPG / LNG / Urea / SulphurEtc...
- Familiar with industrystandards such as API/HM in the petroleumsector.
- Preferred to have valid IFIA PetroleumInspector Certification
- Exceptionalinterpersonal and communication skills with the ability toeffectively communicate information and respond to queries bothwithin and outside theorganization.
- Proficiency in basic mathematicsincluding the ability to interpolate calculations for trim list andVCF calculations. Must be capable of interpreting ship calibrationtables in both Imperial and Metricsystems.
- Fluent in English with excellentcommunication skills.
- PhysicalRequirements:
- Physically fit towork in confined spaces if needed aftertraining.
- Physically fit and able to climbstorage tank ladders and stairs typically 25 to 35 meters inheight.
- Physically fit and able to climb vesselgangways stairs pilot ladder etc.
- Capable ofcarrying up to 67 kg of samples gear orequipment.
- Capable to work in adverse weatherconditions such as rain heat cold etc.
- Must beable to differentiate between colors accurately bysight.
- Must NOT be colorblind.
- Ready to shave (clean shave face) as theworking site requires using a face mask for safetypurposes.
- SafetyCompliance: Willingness to adhere to safetyrequirements including the use of safety equipment like SCBA andrespirators if necessary.
- Flexible schedule toaccommodate extended hours evening weekend and holiday work basedon SGS and customer needs.
- Ability to workeffectively under pressure while managing multiple projects withvarying deadlines.
- OtherRequirements: No phobias related to water heights ortolerable smells of working commodities. Must be willing to travelby boat helicopter or GA aircraft asneeded.
