As the Senior Manager, FP&A, reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will play a critical role in planning and analysis initiatives, driving strategic decision-making, operational improvements, and long-term financial sustainability. You will work closely with senior leadership across finance, operations, and content teams to deliver actionable insights, ensure resource optimization, and support our growth and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, working closely with the Director and CFO and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Provide scenario analysis and stress testing to assess the financial implications of strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set KPIs, track progress, and drive accountability for financial performance.
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts, providing real-time insights into performance against targets, and analyzing variances.
  • Develop detailed financial models and conduct comprehensive analysis on key business drivers, including customer acquisition, churn, ARPU, content costs, and profitability.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance, providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Serve as a key financial advisor to business leaders, providing analytical support and actionable recommendations to drive operational and financial improvements.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments, providing recommendations based on ROI and strategic alignment.
  • With the support of the data team -identify, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), developing dashboards that provide clear visibility into financial and operational metrics.
  • Prepare detailed financial presentations for board meetings, investors, and senior leadership to communicate financial performance, trends, and business outlook.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning and reporting tools and systems, driving automation where possible.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Content, and Engineering teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
  • Partner with the Director and CFO to manage cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital to support rapid growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably within a high-growth startup or digital/streaming media business.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with the media, tech, or video streaming industry
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
